LIL PUMP TO GIVE COMMENCEMENT SPEECH AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY, LABEL SAYS

The Harverd Dropout is soon to be the Harvard University commencement speaker, as Lil Pump has been tapped by the prestigious university to give their 2019 commencement speech. Pump's label Warner Bros. Records announced as much Monday (Feb. 25), and the folks at WHRB Harvard Radio also reached out.
If Pump does take the stage to give a commencement speech, he will be the youngest commencement speaker in Harvard history. People like Oprah, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Steven Spielberg have previously given commencement speeches at the famed university.
“You don’t gotta graduate from Harvard to do this speech," Pump said in a statement. "I dropped out, so they called me like they called the guy that made Windows and PCs and shit before I was born. You just need a cap and gown, which I got. When I found out, I was happy to give everyone a lesson. I’m all about the youth. Yes, they are the future. This is a preview of my speech, one word: ESSKEETIT!!!!!!”
It's been a good week for Pump, and it's only Monday! Just before the Harvard announcement was made, the Florida State Attorney announced plans to drop the disorderly conduct charge against the Florida rapper for his airport run-in with Miami-Dade police late last year. The rapper had been accused of carrying weed in his luggage but denied it vehemently when cops approached him. No weed ended up being found after all, but they went on to arrest Pump and his manager for their conduct. It feels like the surfacing of the body cam footage led to the charges being dropped.
The 2019 Harvard Commencement happens on Thursday, May 29.
